SBS’s “2010 Gayo Daejun” to feature a special maknae performance

The youngest members of various idol groups will be coming together for a special ‘maknae show performance’ on SBS’s “2010 Gayo Daejun.”

All seven maknaes will be divided into unique circus roles to perform Britney Spears‘ “Circus.” The distribution of roles will see Taemin playing the ringleader while Sulli and Chansung will become the acrobatic couple. Meanwhile, Jiyoung will be a rhythmic gymnastics athlete.

Following this a representative from the music industry said, “Previously, the licensed albums for Super Junior and SHINee only managed to secure 5th and 8th spot respectively on Oricon. Since SNSD have not officially promoted the album in Japan, I think this result is rather phenomenal. SNSD’s songs are well received and loved domestically in Korea as well as in Japan”.

Dominating the charts during the first half of 2010 with their singles, “Oh!” and “Run Devil Run“, SNSDhas found that they’ve also garnered great success in the latter half of the year.

On the December 3rd episode of “Music Bank“, the ladies won their 5th consecutive ‘K-Chart‘ win with their newest hit, “Hoot“.
